Blueprints

More guides

Save a build you love, then raise it again wherever there is room.

Build it once. Share the shape again.

You finish a river cottage with a porch that catches the sunset. Do not lose that happy little design. Save it as a blueprint, then give it a new view across the valley.

Open the build palette and choose the Blueprints tab. A blueprint is a saved plan of pieces you built. It does not copy a Home Totem.

Capture a build

Choose Small, Medium, or Large capture: 16 m, 24 m, or 32 m across. Point at your build within 24 m until the glowing box surrounds the pieces you want. The box can hold up to 256 pieces. Save it when it is the right shape.

Your 8 saved blueprint cards show their plan, the pieces inside, and whether you have the materials for another copy. When all save spaces are full, delete a plan you no longer need before making a new one.

Place a copy

Choose Place on a saved card. A blue ghost appears where you point.

Ghost colour or messageWhat it means
Clear blueThe copy can go there.
Red pieces or a warningSomething does not fit there. Move it or clear the problem.
Missing materialsGather the named pieces before placing.

Use the rotate action to turn the ghost, then place it. In worlds that use materials, the copy takes every needed piece from your satchel first and then from nearby chests. In Creative, copies are free. A copy may place only the pieces that fit; the game tells you if part of it could not stand there.

Deleting a saved blueprint only removes the plan. It does not remove copies already standing in the world.

Keep a little material chest beside the site

Put the pieces your blueprint needs in a chest near where you want to build. Check the card before you travel. Then the ghost can show you the right spot while your materials are close at hand.

Where next

Make a first home with Building and waterworks, protect it through Land claims and permissions, and set its bed with Beds and respawn points.
