A story worth carrying home
You spot a weathered board beside a bridge. A neighbour needs help. By the time the bridge is whole, you have learned something true and made the way better for everyone.
Stories are small adventures with a purpose. They ask you to explore, notice, gather, help, and return. Their lessons stay in your Discovery journal.
Start a storyline
Talk to a storyteller or use the notice board at a named place. The first talk starts the story that is ready for your Tatazo. A board gives one story at a time. Finish its steps, then return to hear what comes next.
The goal tracker shows the step you are on and its hint. Some steps ask you to bring things back. Keep those things in your satchel when you talk to the storyteller. Other steps ask you to watch wildlife quietly, find a place, mend something, or help a town keeper.
Every finished step gives its lesson card. Finishing a whole line also makes the storyteller think more warmly of you. Some stories end with a proud moment. Take it in. You earned it.
The village notice board
The village board has requests the whole world can help with.
| Request | How you help | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Bring | Put the asked items in your satchel and give them at the board. | The items are used for the shared request. |
| Deed | Do the named helpful work anywhere in the world. | Your work counts as you do it. |
Open a card to read where its items come from. When it can, the card can put the nearest useful place on your map, minimap, and compass. Follow that pin, then come back to help.
Everyone who helped shares the reward according to their help. A request that is not finished stays up, so a gift is never wasted. Fresh finished requests arrive with a new day.
This week's field tasks
Open your character menu and look in the Discovery journal for this week's 3 field tasks. They are gentle reasons to see something new: a nest watched with care, a lost pet brought home, a lookout climbed, a repair project helped along.
Your tasks belong to your Tatazo. They stay the same through the week. There is no streak to protect and no penalty for missing a week. Finish a task and its 700 XP and 60 coins are given straight away.
If a task says to watch an animal, stay back and let it be calm. If it asks for a repair, bring what you already have before chasing rare materials. A small helpful trip still moves your journal forward.
Where next
Find a named camp, dig, lookout, or well and read its board. Then see Things to discover for places worth seeking, Towns and townsfolk for the people you help, and Making friends for how kind work grows a bond.
