Alpha 1.2
Tester update2026-10-05 · A jetpack for flying over the islands, a world that looks great from the sky, real boats and boatkeepers, secret temple doors and lookout telescopes.
What's new
The Fizz-Pop Jetpack
From level 20, Rill has a new story for you. Clean the bottles off the beach, borrow Mira's old satchel, bottle sky-blue Skyfizz and build a real jetpack. Then fly free over the islands, all the way up to the clouds, and relight the Gull Stack beacon for the night ferries. Fizz Springs on the hilltops refill your pack.
How to try it: Reach level 20 and talk to Rill on the beach. Once the pack is built, press jump to lift off and look for Fizz Springs on the hilltops to refill.

Secret glyph doors in temples
Temples now hide a secret. Press the glowing gem above the door, match its pattern of carved glyphs with the six stones, and a hidden door slides open to a little chamber with a chest and a painting. Every temple has its own glyphs, and the gem helps you after two wrong tries.
How to try it: Walk up to a temple door, press the glowing gem, then step on the stones that match the glyphs.

Lookout ladders and telescopes
Lookout towers now have a real ladder and a brass telescope. Look through it, hold steady on a far town or landmark for two seconds, and it is marked on your map.
How to try it: Climb a lookout tower with the interact key, step up to the telescope and keep a far landmark in the centre for two seconds.

New boats at every harbour
A honey-wood ferry with cushioned benches, a carved figurehead and lanterns now sails from the harbours, with a little sailing skiff and cosy rowboats by the town piers. Friendly boatkeepers wait on every pier with a story to tell and a parcel to carry to the next harbour, for coins and XP.
How to try it: Walk onto any harbour pier and talk to the boatkeeper. Take a parcel along and hand it in at the next harbour.

Ferry trips are a real sail
Ride the deck into the new harbour while the boatkeeper at the wheel tells you about the land ahead. White foam curls off the bow, and friends near the harbour now see your ferry sail in with you on deck. The Frostlands harbour and the other icy and fiery ones have open water now, so the ferry no longer sits on a sheet of ice.
How to try it: Board a ferry at any harbour and pick a destination. You can skip the boatkeeper's story.

Fixed
Realm champions can be hit again
The big realm champions (Queen Morel, Thornwood the Elder, Scarjaw and the others) can be hit again: skills, bolts and swings now land on their whole body, so a high-level player can beat them.
Skill keys you can drag
In the Skill Book you can now drag a skill onto the letter keys (R, F, T, G), not only click it, and Settings tells you when a key is already used for walking or a bar slot.
The Leaf Glider only with a glider
The leaf glider now only appears when you really carry a Leaf Glider. Creative-world flight (double-tap jump) no longer shows a leaf over your head, and says so when it switches on and off.
Changed
The world seen from the sky
Flying high now shows you the world. The haze thins as you climb, far islands and temples stand out to the horizon, forests of treetops cover every island, and you see sea cliffs, big clouds, cloud banks on the horizon and a road of sunlight on the sea. You can even fly through the clouds.
How to try it: Fly up with the jetpack or a glider and look around. Sunset from high up is the best view.

Glowlight lights the sea
Glowlight now lights the water when you dive: the sea around you turns clearer and brighter while the glow lasts.
