Emberling
Level 30+A dragon chick no bigger than a goose, still warm from its egg. Read the tale
Field notes
A dragon hatchling no bigger than a goose, still warm from the volcano. The red dragon on the flag of Wales comes from an old British tale of a red dragon and a white one fighting deep under a hill.
Where it lives
Dragonfire Isle, in Dragon rock. Seen from level 30. Its level depends on where you meet it: at home, how far from the village you are; on the other lands, that land's band, lowest near the harbour side. It is stronger at night. Comes in groups of 2 to 4.
How to calm it
Weak to (takes more): Ice +50%Earth +20%
Tough against (takes less): Fire −70%
Its attack: the bite. It is quick (wind-up 0.5 s, then 1.5 s before the next).
Emberlings are weak to ice and earth but shrug off fire. They're quick with their bite: back away as they crouch, then strike while they recover. Cleansed, they turn back into friendly animals.
It runs away for a while below 15% health. Cleansed, it turns back into a friendly animal and wanders home.
