Cinder Wyvern
Level 30+It wears a crest of ember plumes, like the feathered serpents of old legends.
Field notes
Two legs, two wings and a crest of ember plumes. Not every dragon of legend wore scales: the Aztecs' feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl was dressed in the shining green plumes of the quetzal bird. Keep moving when it climbs, and it dives at empty ground.
Where it lives
Dragonfire Isle, in Dragon rock. Seen from level 30. Its level depends on where you meet it: at home, how far from the village you are; on the other lands, that land's band, lowest near the harbour side. It is stronger at night. Comes in groups of 1 to 2.
How to calm it
Weak to (takes more): Ice +45%Energy +25%
Tough against (takes less): Fire −80%
Its attack: the swoop. It is steady (wind-up 0.6 s, then 2.3 s before the next).
Cinder Wyverns are weak to ice and energy but shrug off fire. Watch for their swoop: keep moving as they rise, and they'll dive at empty ground. Cleansed, they turn back into friendly animals.
Cleansed, it turns back into a friendly animal and wanders home.
