Sporeling
Level 1+A baby mushroom that wandered off before its cap had even opened. Read the tale
Field notes
A baby mushroom with the Gloom in it. Mushrooms are fungi: they are not plants, and they help rot old wood back into soil.
Where it lives
Glowcap Hollow, in Mycelia. Seen from level 1. Its level depends on where you meet it: at home, how far from the village you are; on the other lands, that land's band, lowest near the harbour side. It is stronger at night. Comes in groups of 1 to 3. Stronger ones are called Murky Sporeling (level 15+), Deep Sporeling (level 40+), Elder Sporeling (level 80+).
How to calm it
Weak to (takes more): Fire +45%
Tough against (takes less): Earth −50%
Its attack: the bite. It is quick (wind-up 0.55 s, then 1.6 s before the next).
Sporelings are weak to fire but shrug off earth. They're quick with their bite: back away as they crouch, then strike while they recover.
Cleansed, it bursts into clean water and leaves.
