Field notes
Not a dinosaur: a pterosaur, a flying reptile and a close cousin of the dinosaurs. Its wings were skin stretched along one very long finger. Late Cretaceous, about 86-84 million years ago.
Where it lives
Primeval Isle, in Primeval. Seen from level 4. Its level depends on where you meet it: at home, how far from the village you are; on the other lands, that land's band, lowest near the harbour side. It is stronger at night.
How to calm it
Weak to (takes more): Energy +30%Holy +10%
Its attack: the swoop. It is quick (wind-up 0.55 s, then 2.4 s before the next).
Pteranodons are weak to energy and holy. They're quick with their swoop: keep moving as they rise, and they'll dive at empty ground. Cleansed, they turn back into friendly animals.
It runs away for a while below 25% health. Cleansed, it turns back into a friendly animal and wanders home.
