Glow Jelly
Level 3+No brain, no heart, no bones, and still it glows like a lantern in the deep. Read the tale
Field notes
Jellyfish have no brain, no heart and no bones, yet they have drifted through the seas for over 500 million years. Some glow in the dark.
Where it lives
Deep water (more than 2.5 m) in any realm whose water is not frozen or molten, near the bottom. It follows divers up and down. Seen from level 3. Its level depends on where you meet it: at home, how far from the village you are; on the other lands, that land's band, lowest near the harbour side. It is stronger at night. Stronger ones are called Murky Glow Jelly (level 15+), Deep Glow Jelly (level 40+), Elder Glow Jelly (level 80+).
How to calm it
Weak to (takes more): Earth +40%
Tough against (takes less): Energy −70%
Its attack: the sparks. It is steady (wind-up 0.8 s, then 2.6 s before the next).
Glow Jellies are weak to earth but shrug off energy. Watch for their sparks: step sideways when they glow, and the sparks fly past. They live in deep water: keep an eye on your air when you dive after them.
Its hits slow you down (30% for 3 s). Cleansed, it bursts into clean water and leaves.
What it leaves behind

| Gloom Goo | 40% | 1–2 |
Plus orange coins for everyone who helped, now and then a potion, and sometimes gear. Everyone in your party within 40 m gets their own roll.
