Field notes
Covered in bony armour plates, with a heavy club of bone at the end of its tail. Late Cretaceous North America, 68-66 million years ago. Magic and lightning work better than blades.
Where it lives
Primeval Isle, in Primeval. Seen from level 10. Its level depends on where you meet it: at home, how far from the village you are; on the other lands, that land's band, lowest near the harbour side. It is stronger at night.
How to calm it

Its attack: the claw sweep. It is slow to wind up (wind-up 1.05 s, then 2.7 s before the next).
Ankylosauruses are weak to energy and ice. They're slow to wind up their claw sweep: stay behind them, and back away when the steam starts to hiss. Cleansed, they turn back into friendly animals.
It runs away for a while below 10% health. Cleansed, it turns back into a friendly animal and wanders home.
